• ‘American Jesus’ Adaptation Next For Matthew Vaughn And Mark Millar

In “American Jesus,” a 12-year-old boy suddenly discovers that he is Jesus Christ, the returned lord and savior of man. In light of this revelation, he has to deal with all the miracle work and baggage that comes with being the Messiah. The comic initially debuted as “Chosen,” a three-issue miniseries from Dark Horse Comics in 2006. Millar retitled the series when he decided to create a trilogy of books, which now falls under the “American Jesus” title at Image Comics. The second book, “The Resurrection,” is due this fall.
